There is no shortage of coaches. Search for one and you'll surface thousands — executive coaches, life coaches, performance coaches, each promising transformation. The problem was never supply.

The problem is that you're being asked to choose before you know what you're choosing between. The right coach for a founder navigating a hard board decision is not the right coach for someone sitting with a quiet sense that they've outgrown their own life. Both are real. They are not the same person.

So the first work isn't finding a coach. It's naming the shape of where you are.
