Who we are
Help Me Find a Coach (“HMFAC,” “we,” “us”) is a small operation that helps people find coaches who fit their situation. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It’s written plainly because privacy isn’t a thing you should need a lawyer to understand.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us directly. The site has no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics, and no advertising pixels. We’ll update this if that ever changes.
Specifically:
- From the Budget Calculator: the financial information you enter (revenue, income, target figures, time available), and your name and email if you choose to receive results.
- From the Archetype Finder: your responses to the diagnostic questions, and your name and email if you choose to receive results.
- From the coach signup form:your name, email, website, the categories of coaching you offer, and anything you tell us in the “anything else” field.
- From the grant application:your name, email, website, the amount you’re requesting, and your description of the project.
- From direct emails to us: whatever you choose to share.
That’s the full list. We don’t collect anything passively — no IP address logging, no fingerprinting, no analytics.
Why we collect it
- To generate the results you came for (calculator outputs, archetype matches)
- To send you those results by email
- To follow up if you've expressed interest in being matched with a coach, joining the coach network, or receiving a grant
- To understand how the service is used and how to improve it
We don’t use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the service.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We do use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the site:
- Resend— sends our emails on our behalf. Email content passes through them.
- Vercel— hosts the site. Form submissions pass through their infrastructure.
- Our email provider— the inbox where we receive notifications and store correspondence.
Each of these has their own privacy and security practices, which we’ve reviewed. They process your data on our behalf and aren’t permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information if required by law (e.g., a court order or legal investigation), but we’ll tell you if that happens unless legally prohibited.
How long we keep it
- Calculator and quiz submissions: Stored in our email records indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them.
- Coach applications:Kept while you’re being considered, and for up to two years after, in case we want to revisit. Deleted earlier on request.
- Grant applications: Kept for the duration of the grant evaluation and for up to two years after.
- Direct correspondence:Kept as long as it’s useful for our ongoing relationship.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your rights” below).
How we protect it
We use industry-standard protections: HTTPS encryption on the site, encrypted email transmission via Resend, and trusted hosting via Vercel with their own security practices. We don’t collect or store any payment information.
That said: no system on the internet is 100% secure. We’re a small operation, and while we take care, we can’t guarantee that data sent over the internet or stored on any server is invulnerable. We’re telling you this straight because we’d rather you understand the reality than be reassured by language that overstates what anyone can promise.
If a breach affecting your information ever occurs, we’ll notify you as required by law, and as quickly as we reasonably can.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Ask us what information we have about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask us to stop using it
- Withdraw consent for any specific use
Depending on where you live (California, Colorado, Virginia, the EU, and a growing list of others), you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws.

Children
This service isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where we have your email, send you a note. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
